SCHOLARSHIPS

The Women of Colour Hockey Collective provides scholarships to support women and girls of colour in their hockey journeys. Our goal is to reduce financial barriers and empower players to pursue the sport they love with confidence, opportunity, and community behind them.

Through the generous support of partners such as Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, we invest in players across the country by helping cover registration fees, equipment costs, development programs, travel, and other essential expenses. Whether athletes are just beginning their hockey experience or competing at higher levels, our scholarships ensure they have access to the resources they need to grow.

By investing directly in players, WCHC removes systemic and financial barriers so women and girls of colour can stay in the game, grow their skills, and pursue their hockey dreams with confidence and support. Through this program, WCHC supports grassroots development, amplifies underrepresented voices, and uplifts the next generation of leaders both on and off the ice.

Scholarships are given out on an annual basis and award during the month of August each calendar year.
